How do I book my session?

Click HERE to book one of our actor headshot packages🗓️ Or if you prefer to schedule by phone📞 please call us at 855-729-7465 or contact us. The Headshot Truck is a cashless truck. We require full payment upfront. We only do deposits for group sales.

What's included? Can I customize my package?

We are a unique business because we offer headshots in package form. This helps us offer headshots in multiple neighborhoods at affordable prices. What's that mean? It means that The Headshot Truck has a variety of time lengths based on the package. Please review our package descriptions and take note of the amount of time listed, if you would like to customize your package with add-ons you will need to schedule your shoot by phone (855-729-7465) or contact us.

What happens after my shoot?

After your session, all of your photos will be delivered to you digitally 5 business days after your shoot. All photos are color corrected. You'll recieve an email with a private link to your online gallery which you can share and easliy get feedback about favorites to make your final selections. Along with instructions on how to download all your photos in different sizes: low resolution for online use (Actors Access, IMDB, Casting Frontier, etc.) and high resolution for printing.

Where do you shoot?

We're mobile, so we park in different neighborhoods within the greater Los Angeles Area and Orange County every week. We can also bring our Truck to your acting studio, talent agency, or event for private Express Days. Contact us for more info.

What should I expect on my shoot day?

You will recieve a confirmation email after you book, letting your know all the precise details about your headshot session, including the address of the truck, studio, or shoot location. On your shoot day, you'll meet at the shoot location and be greeted by your photographer, who will review your wardrobe selections, discuss your needs, goals, and personality. They'll not only assist with selecting and prepping your clothes for each look, but they'll also help select a background that helps you look your best. One of the best features of your session is that you can see your photos as their taken in real-time. That way, when you leave the truck you'll know you've got the perfect shots you’re looking for.

Life Happens! We get it. If you need to reschedule your Headshot Truck image experience for any reason don’t worry, we've got your back. Is Hair & Makeup included?

Since every actor’s wants and needs are a little different, we do not include makeup as part of our services. However, we do have makeup artists that we work with regularly so we are happy to reffer you! You are also welcome to bring your own makeup artist or come camera ready. If you are planning on bringing your own makeup artist please confirm with us in advance to ensure proper scheduling with other clients who may be shooting before or after you.

Can I shave in the middle of my shoot?

If you need to shave between looks we suggest you contact us about splitting your time over two sessions.

What clothes should I bring?

Clothing can make you feel great or miserable, as we all know! So this is an important part of your shoot. However, you don’t want the main focus to be what you’re wearing so keeping your choices simple in color, design, and texture is important too. Bring a variety (3-4 per look) of tops, don’t discount options that might have odd necklines or even dresses! You know what colors work for you so have options that pop your eyes, skin, or hair color. Jewel tones, earth tones, and primary colors often shoot great. You should have a nice pair of jeans and darker pants just to have as an option. Men may want to bring a jacket and tie options. Please bring your clothing ironed or pressed, however, we understand that wrinkling happens so we have a steamer for light touch-ups! Glasses may need to have the lenses removed See ‘How do I Prep’ in the FAQ for more details.

How do I prep?

This is a great question and we are glad you know there is some prep work involved! Your headshot is part of your business as an actor - it’s your number one marketing tool and we want it to be the best version of you it can be. This starts with you knowing how to market yourself. What roles do you go out for? What types do you fit? What colors, textures, styles work best for you? Look at your past headshots and see if they represent the answers you just gave; if they don’t, think about what’s lacking in them. Looking through magazines (Vanity Fair, Vogue, etc.), IMDb, or online at photos you like of actors you would group yourself with is a great way to get ideas for looks and styles. Discover what speaks to you about the shots and what you see in the images. Now think about bringing those thoughts and feelings to your shoot! A lot of what captures people is the eyes and, unlike your ability to move in front of a film or TV camera to convey emotions, your headshot will rely heavily on what we see you thinking about and feeling in your eyes! Of course, it’s also very important you are comfortable with our photographers. Talk to us; if something isn’t feeling right, if you want to see how an adjustment might look just ask! We are here to help and work with you. Is there anything specific I should/should not do the week/night before my shoot? Your shoot day should be relaxing and fun so that you get the most out of it! To help make things a little easier, here are some of our thoughts: - Have your wardrobe options out and ready a day before so that you aren’t rushing on shoot day. - Allow extra time to get to up, nobody likes how they feel after rushing in LA traffic! - If you decide to have a facial, haircut, or extra something before your shoot we recommend doing it at least a week prior as sometimes your face can stay irritated for days after the appointment before the glow appears. - Drinking lots of water is a great way to keep your skin looking fresh and of course, try your best to get a good night’s sleep the night before!

What if I'm early/late?

If you are late, please call us a call at 855-729-7465. We will try to accomodate as best as we can, but there may be sessions after yours. We have a seating area where you can wait until we are ready to start your session if you arrive early.

What happens if I lose my photos or my link expires?

Your photos are available for download for 60 days from the date of delivery. We strongly recommend you download them during that period. After final delivery, a $25 data recovery fee will be applied should you misplace your files and need us to send them again. We store your images for 1 year from the date of your shoot, but due to the high volume of shoots and our triple redundancy storage system, it is not feasible to store files longer than 1 year.

What’s included in the retouching, if I order it?

Retouching is $15 an image and includes fixing any fly-away hairs, lightly brightening eyes and teeth, subtly making the skin smoother, or removing small blemishes.

Do I get all of the images?

Yes! Except the ones where you are blinking😉

How long until I get my images?

Proofs will be sent in 5 business days via Pixieset. Final, retouched images will be sent within 5 business days from the time you make your selections through Pixieset via the provided link. 24 hour delivery is available for an added $99 if you are on a deadline - please email us and let us know your specific needs and we will absolutely do our best to accommodate your situation.

Do I have to pay the full amount up front?

We require full payment upfront. We only do deposits for group sales. Please see above for policies regarding cancellations and changes.

What if I don’t see any available time/date/location that works for my schedule?

Please contact us or give us a call (855-729-7465) and tell us more about your situation. If we can make something work for you we are happy to help!

What if I’m not happy with my images?

Let's face it, some days are better than others. If for any reason your images are not what you expected, then we pledge to get it right. Let us know (within 30 days of delivery) and we will get you booked for another image experience right away at our expense. Your happiness and success are what drives our business.

How do I know which photos to choose?

In addition to seeing your photos in real-time, our photographer will "Favorite" your top photos, then those photos will be edited, curated, and delivered to you via an online Pixieset Gallery for easy viewing and sharing. That way you and your team (agent, classmates, mom) can see what photos we think are the most usable. Beautiful headshots are great, but authentic headshots get you the audition.
